When we went up to pay our 100+ Euro check in cash, the said gentleman wasn't in any better of a mood. Perhaps he was having a bad day or he didn't want to be working during the holidays, but precisely because it WAS the holidays and we were on vacation, we wanted to go out for a fun family meal. The sushi was OK (and we know our sushi), but unfortunately the attitude of the gentleman behind the bar put a damper on the evening. Due to the high sodium content of soy sauce, we stopped eating to wait for our drinks, which eventually did arrive about a quarter of the way through the meal. We waited, but started eating, assuming drinks would be forthcoming. Once we ordered (the young waitress was pleasant enough) the food started arriving, but no drinks. After waiting 10 minutes, I went up to ask for menus. He stared at his appointment book hemming and hawing and audibly sighing, then finally took us to an empty table. The gentleman behind the bar/reception desk seemed to set the tone for the rest of the younger staff, and he appeared annoyed we didn't have a reservation. I smiled and said, "Bouna Sera," & received a grudging reply. The reception (or lack thereof) DID feel 'below par.' The staff looked up, not a word. Although you walk down several steps from the street into the restaurant, it didn't feel 'below. Moreīecause both sons were born in Japan, they both wanted to add Sushi to our Italian fare on this family vacation in Vicenza, so we tried Yumi last night.

Still don’t understand really Does it take all that time to cook a fry rice ? Any way I eat and left with my even an apology from the stuff. all this to say that the dish was a simple fried rice. Another 25 minutes passed and still my dish was not on my table, at this point the nice writer disappeared and 10 minutes after he came with my dish. The nice writer came and asked if I received the second one I said not, he went and heck and told me it’ll be here soon. I ordered the first round, and the dishes came a bit late but I was like it’s ok I’ll wait, then I placed the second order which again the took around 20 minutes to bring the first dish and still was missing one.

He gave me a table and then a nice writer came to take my order. I have to underline he was not friendly at all. check if it was an empty table on his booking book, when I could see clearly that the place was not that busy. The guy who greeted me took around 5 minutes to. On Sunday I went to this place, which was recommended by a friend, I was having a stroll in the area so I decided to stop for lunch. In the last 20 years, Americans have taken a strong liking to the cuisine, and it can be found in both metropolitan and suburban neighborhoods with ease. Sushi is Japanese food by tradition, but it is currently enjoyed by cultures around the world.
